Who we are
Zappiko (zappiko.com) is a website with free browser games. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it. The person responsible for the site can be reached at the address in the Contact section.
What we collect
In this first version Zappiko does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address or any other personal data through the site or the games.
There are no advertising or analytics tools running at the moment. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first (see "Future changes") and update this page.
What stays on your device
We do not use cookies that are not strictly necessary. The site and the games use your browser local storage (localStorage) to remember a few things, only on your own device:
- your game progress, such as best score, best night and upgrades (keys that start with "zappiko:" followed by the game name);
- the language you chose (zappiko:portal:lang);
- the list of games you played recently (zappiko:portal:recent).
Hosting
The site is served by a hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web server, it may process technical data such as your IP address and request logs to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. [For review: confirm the provider, the data it logs and the retention period before publishing.]
Future changes: ads and analytics
We plan to add advertising and usage analytics later. Before any of them runs, the site will show a consent banner (a consent management platform) where you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies and similar technologies, and this policy will be updated with the providers involved.
Children
Zappiko is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. [For review: check the age rules that apply to you.]
Your rights
Under data protection laws such as the Brazilian LGPD and the European GDPR, you have the right to confirm that data about you is processed, to access, correct, delete and port it, to object to its processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Since the data in local storage never leaves your device, you can delete it yourself by clearing the site data in your browser.
You can also contact us to exercise any of these rights, and you may complain to your data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of the page shows the last update.
